Play a recording inside the app
Open My voice → My recordings and tap Play. Export is optional and lets you keep a copy on your phone. Add to mix combines a recording with background sounds. A story recording plays once by default; you can choose Repeat in My mixes.
Record and import
Tap Start recording and allow microphone permission. Tap Save recording when finished. Each take or imported file can be up to three minutes; imports must also be at most 20 MB. If microphone access was denied, use Android Settings → Apps → TeddyHush → Permissions → Microphone. The app stops recording when it goes into the background.
Sleep timer and background playback
Choose 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes to fade and stop automatically. Until stopped keeps background sounds looping until you stop them or playback is interrupted. A recording set to play once still ends normally. The playback notification has a Stop action. Battery restrictions, calls, other media and headphone disconnection can interrupt playback.
Sounds and stories
Choose up to three sounds, adjust their levels in My mixes, and add your own voice. Use the phone’s media volume buttons to keep listening quiet. Stories have language and lesson choices; parents read the text or record it themselves. No prerecorded story narrator is included. Every child responds differently; guide suggestions are starting points, not age-specific clinical recommendations.
Ads, purchase and privacy
Plus removes ads. Restore purchase through Settings using the original Google Play account. Ads may be unavailable while a new app or ad unit is awaiting review. Ad privacy choices appear in Settings when Google requires them. Recording, mixing and the starter collection do not require a paid purchase.
Keep important recordings
Export any recording you want to keep before uninstalling or clearing app data. Exported files can be imported on another device. There is no automatic family synchronization or remote backup.
