Privacy policy
This policy describes information used when you practise with Dicuvo, record your voice, view advertising, make a purchase, contact support or visit these pages.
Practice data stored on your phone
Practice history, self-ratings, favorites, scripts, language preferences and appearance settings are stored in the app on your device. Audio recordings are stored in the app’s private device storage. Buytitude does not receive your recordings or scripts through an app server. Dicuvo does not upload voice recordings for AI analysis, speech recognition or automatic pronunciation scoring. The app has no required account or cloud synchronization.
You can delete individual recordings in My progress and export recordings using Android’s sharing tools. A practice backup exports history, saved scripts and favorites; audio recordings are exported separately. Exporting or sharing sends a copy only to the destination you choose. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes local practice data and recordings. Keep copies of files you want to retain. App backup to Android’s cloud backup is disabled.
Microphone and example playback
Microphone permission is requested only when you choose to record. Recording stops when you stop it, leave the practice screen or put the app in the background, and each take has a three-minute cap. Recording is not required to read or complete speaking exercises. Android settings let you revoke microphone access.
Example playback uses an installed offline Android text-to-speech voice. The app selects voices marked as not requiring a network connection. If an appropriate offline voice is unavailable, you can continue reading and recording without downloading one.
Advertising and privacy choices
The free version uses Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform. Google advertising components may process IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), advertising or other device identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostics for advertising, measurement, reliability, security and fraud prevention. Advertising data is encrypted in transit. The app does not request GPS or precise-location permission.
Dicuvo does not request a birth date. Advertising requests use under-age-of-consent treatment and non-personalized settings throughout the app. Available privacy choices are handled by Google’s consent tools; an Ad privacy choices entry appears when the provider requires it. You can also use Android’s advertising privacy controls. Premium removes advertising. Optional rewarded videos identify the reward before you choose to watch. Ads do not use your microphone recordings or private scripts.
Google Play purchases
Google Play processes payment and provides product information and signed purchase status. The app uses this information to verify, acknowledge and restore the one-time Premium purchase. Buytitude does not receive full payment-card details from Google Play. Purchase and transaction information may be retained by Google under its policies and applicable law.
Support and website data
If you contact support, we receive the email address, message and attachments you send and use them to respond. Please do not send passwords, payment credentials or unnecessary sensitive information. Support correspondence is retained for handling the request and reasonable follow-up, or longer when law requires. Website and email hosting providers may process connection data and request logs to operate and secure those services.
Providers, retention and disclosures
Google processes advertising and payment information under its own policies. See the Google Privacy Policy and information from partner apps. Providers may process information internationally under applicable safeguards and retain it under their policies. Information may be disclosed when legally required, to protect rights or security, or during a business transfer subject to applicable protections. Local practice data remains on your phone until you delete it, remove the app’s data or uninstall; exported copies follow the destination you chose.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent or complain to a supervisory authority. Contact [email protected]. We may request information needed to verify your request. We cannot remotely retrieve or delete recordings that remain solely on your phone; use the app’s delete control or Android app-data settings.
Age and changes
Dicuvo is intended for ages 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. Users below the age of legal majority should have permission from a parent or guardian. Contact us if you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information. We update this policy and its date when our practices change.
